How do I Pick up the sport?

1) sign up for gym membership

2) approach coach or person in charge for assistance with the basics.

3) be very patient (learning the very basics can take an agonising 3mths 
on average)

Firstly, you sign up as a member at our gym and pay your first monthly fee of 30/mth. Inform the person signing you up (be it coach or someone else) you need some assistance as you are new to this. 

What's a typical training session like?

1) warm up

2) running

3) skipping

4) mirror work/ shadow boxing

5) bags

6) sparring (optional)


A possible first session:

1) warm up

2) running

3) skipping

4) homing in on basics


What should I be learning on my first session?

The left jab which will take more than a week of proper training.

 

What should I strife to achieve when doing shadow boxing?






Opening hours/dates:

Weekdays 6pm - 9pm

sat 10am - 12pm

Basic:
sports gear
wraps


extra:
gloves


Opposite kk hospital
Farrer park
Take a shuttle bus from novena mrt to kk

Do I need any equipment?

As you are just starting your basics, there isn't a need to for the moment. You SHOULD only start working with the bags after you have attained a firm foundation with the simplest of punches (the jab and straight).

mouth piece


2) Extras:
gloves
